emmaline's birth story - january 3, 2010
My baby girl came into the world surrounded by love. We were lucky enough to be at home and although the process of having my first baby outside of a hospital was scary at times, once she arrived and we were a family of three in our own home sharing those first irreplaceable moments of bonding - we knew we had made the right decision for us. Picture this - 10:00pm May 31st, 3rd baby now 5 days overdue. Husband outside on warm balmy evening cutting grass, drinking beer, socializing with neighbours. 2 children fast asleep in bed. This is the story of my labour and delivery. MORE...

sawyer's birth story - march 22, 2012
When I have a rare quiet moment, I sink into the memory of the night my son was born. Had it not happened to me, I would not believe it were possible. Two and a half years ago, my daughter was born at home attended by our two midwives and welcomed by my husband and me. Labour and delivery went well but I was taken aback by the physical pain of natural childbirth. MORE...
