Catchment Area
The catchment area for Midwives of Muskoka includes the District of Muskoka and the northern portion of Simcoe County. The area encompasses the municipalities of Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville and Orillia, and the townships of Lake of Bays, Georgian Bay, Muskoka Lakes, Severn and Ramara. From the central location of Bracebridge, the area extends northward to the boundary of Muskoka District, including the towns of Rosseau, Novar and Dwight; westward to Georgian Bay; southward to Highway 12 and the north shore of Lake Simcoe, including the towns of Port Severn, Orillia, and Gamebridge; eastward to the boundaries of Haliburton and Kawartha Districts, including the towns of Dorset, Vankoughnet, and Sebright.
Their catchment area falls within a radius of approximately a 70 minute drive from the central location of Bracebridge, where our clinic is located. The boundaries of the catchment area are well-defined in the interests of safety, and we encourage clients to discuss them with us. Prenatal and postpartum visits at home are provided within the entire catchment area.
