EMMALINE PAUL
Born January 3, 2010
Submitted by Rebecca Paul
Keywords: Hypnobirth, homebirth

My baby girl came into the world surrounded by love. We were lucky enough to be at home and although the process of having my first baby outside of a hospital was scary at times, once she arrived and we were a family of three in our own home sharing those first irreplaceable moments of bonding - we knew we had made the right decision for us.

I started feeling contractions very early in the morning on the 3rd. It took several hours for me to reach the point of pushing, but once the pushing started, Emmaline emerged into the world quickly and safely. After a day of learning to let my body do its work, I felt very powerful and strong. I felt as though my husband and I could do anything as long as we were doing it together.

Our second baby is due in just over a month and I am so excited to meet the next member of our family. We're planning another home birth and I've been practicing hypnobirthing to help me maintain a sense of calm as my body delivers another little miracle. Much love to our midwives for their continual support.
